The Cigar:
The CroMagnon contains a long-filler, full-bodied blend of some of the world’s most sought after tobaccos. It features a beautiful US Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, a unique Cameroon binder and an amazing marriage of three Nicaraguan varietals in the filler.

The filler leaf for this blend was acquired from three separate growing regions in Nicaragua: Esteli, Condega and a small farm north of Esteli on the Honduran border. This third leaf, a ligero, brings a strong, smoky, savory flavor to the blend. When combined with the mildly-sweet characteristics of the broadleaf maduro wrapper, the exotic bite of the Cameroon binder and the clean finish of its viso and seco companions, the blend delivers the precise deep rich tobacco flavor we wanted to present in the CroMagnon.

The CroMagnon comes in 5 sizes: the 4-inch x 52 ring Knuckle Dragger, the 6 x 54 Cranium, the 6 x 60 ring Mandible, the 5.75 x 46 Anthropology, and the 5-inch by 56 ring gauge, EMH.

Review :

1st Third This cigar starts out with some serious power! It was earthy with cedar, herbal notes and black pepper with a slight bitterness. The finish is long and woody with a touch of tobacco sweetness. The retro hale, adds roasted oak, spice and dry powdered coco. Tons and Tons of smoke output.
Dark Chocolate, Black pepper and a lingering flavor of black licorice dominate the 2nd third. Again with thick, strong smoke coming from both ends.
Final 3rd brought more black licorice with a pinch of sugar added to the spice.  There was a very pleasant saltiness added now to the flavor profile making each transition a nice and interesting experience. The body has stayed strong while the wrapper never showed a hint of cracks or flaking. There were no soft spots, touch ups needed and stayed cool as it burned.
The draw and burn were smooth and even. The ash held tight, a beautiful powder white color and flowered after each tip. For such a big RG, the draw was very loose, which is unusual for a cigar this size.

Final Thoughts:

This is a stellar smoke especially it's strength! I'm eager to try the other blends and sizes to compare profiles. I think with a little more age and taking these out of the cello will reduce the bitterness tasted and possibly bring out some additional flavors. This cigar delivers incredible value in price and in it's craftsmanship! I will defiantly be stocking up on more of these.
